DJ ari (she/her) is an iranian-american bay area local based primarily in SF. she grew up playing piano and has a deep love for live music. outside of the music world, she has an academic background in philosophy & economics, which she’s channeled into a career in public service.

Anagrama is a recurring figure and frequent collaborator with the independent Mexican project La Bestia Radio, where her work includes hosting music and opinion-based programs, as well as curating exclusive playlists that highlight underground and alternative sounds. Through Contratiempo x La Bestia Radio and Psyched! Radio, she helps shape a cross-cultural listening space focused on alternative music, post-punk, egg punk, and emerging DIY scenes.
